Look at Me—I’m a Sundance Kid!

September 14, 2012

Fretts on Film fans—in addition to doing this blog, I’m now writing about film and politics for the Sundance Channel’s enlightening SUNfiltered site. You can check out my first post, about why Oliver Stone’s W. is more relevant than ever, by clicking here.

Here’s a taste: “We’ve seen this movie before,” Vice-President Joe Biden told the crowd at an Ohio rally last weekend. “And we know how it ends.” He was referring, of course, to the prospect of electing Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, who promise a return to the policies of George W. Bush. If you need a reminder of exactly what those were, check out the premiere of Oliver Stone’s controversial 2008 biopic W. this Sunday at 10P on Sundance Channel. It’s a movie you probably haven’t seen — but you should…

Give it a read—and let me know what you think!
